Cheryl Riches

Teacher Cheryl Borrett grew up in Suffolk, travelling to Stirling to gain her BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology. She has worked in many areas including as a Play Support Assistant, Psychology Assistant and a Nursing Assistant (quite a helpful person!). She returned to her hometown to complete her PGCE at University Campus Suffolk.

Cheryl is excited to be at Woodbridge Primary School in her first teaching post. She uses a thematic approach to teaching, aiming to bridge the gap between Foundation and Key Stage 1 by encouraging children to learn by exploring areas they have expressed an interest in.

In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys all things arty and crafty, reading, spending (far too much) time with her three rabbits and she tries her best to keep fit (to balance out her love of food!).

Gwyn Smith

Teaching Assistant Gwyn Smith grew up in Sussex and visited Swaziland which inspired her to become a teacher. Before completing her 4 year Teaching Degree (BAQTS) at Roehampton, she travelled in Asia, Australasia and Canada, jumping out of planes and bungee jumping as well as working in a Romanian Orphanage.

Gwyn taught in a large multicultural London Primary School in Years 1 and 2. The family moved to Uganda, where she set up and ran a nursery, with her two boys in tow. The family moved back to the UK after 3 years where they were involved in setting up a new church in a diverse London community and their little girl was born. Since moving to Woodbridge Gwyn and her family enjoy walking, cycling and camping in beautiful Suffolk countryside.
